Olivier Borneuf

A connoisseur of wines from France and the wider world, fan of literature and jazz, Olivier manages to combine keen technical expertise with an approach to wine tasting that favours its aesthetic and cultural aspects. He is in regular demand for his qualities as lecturer and teacher and co-founded with four colleagues l’Académie des Vins et Spiritueux in 2013. He teaches wine tasting for amateurs and professionals. In 2020, aware of the difficulties of the written press and the increase in digital information, he created La Tulipe Rouge.

Sébastien Durand-Viel

For more than 20 years, Sébastien has paced the alleys of wine fairs and the vineyards of France. He has written for the specialist or gene-ral public press and is the author or co-author of more than 25 books and guide books on wine. He shares his passion with his students at l’Académie des Vins et Spiritueux which he co-founded in 2013. He proofreads La Tulipe Rouge guides and ensures that the editorial line is maintained.

Gilles et Fabrice
Gilles et Fabrice

With professional experience covering five continents and including some of the world’s most prestigious wineries, Gilles is a biologist by training. He is also a co-founder of a wine-tasting club called Le Conservatoire du Vin.  For the past 15 years, much of his work has consisted in identifying the molecules that cause deviations in wines that may affect flavours and occasionally cause health problems, with the aim of improving quality and precision in finished wines. A lover of art, both modern and primitive, Gilles especially favours the aesthe-tic pleasure in a wine, whatever its origin. Gilles is in charge of scien-tific and winemaking knowledge and its permanent updating for La Tulipe Rouge.
