Vinofutur: a world without wine?

Vinofutur is a media outlet entirely dedicated to the vineyard of the future. It is an annual print magazine + a monthly newsletter. The goal of Vinofutur is to inform and inspire wine professionals and conscientious consumers to help them best adapt to upcoming changes. Climate change, technological and genetic innovations, new consumption patterns, environmental impact, regulatory upheavals... The future raises countless questions for winemakers and all wine professionals. There will be choices to make, paths to take, both individually and collectively. Consumers will also have a role to play.

The idea for Vinofutur was born in the spring of 2021, after a frosty night in the Layon vineyard in Anjou. Yet another one. The idea of telling the story of climate change from the perspective of the vineyards then seemed obvious. The originator of this project is Julie Reux, an independent journalist based near Nantes, in the Muscadet vineyard. With one foot in the city and one in the vineyards, Julie loves natural wine, journalistic investigations, science fiction, and gardening. She freelances for various press titles and publishes a press review every month in the Vinofutur newsletter (formerly Wineletter).
